Arizona Lunar Simulant was made of crushed rock from the Pomona basalt flow near Hanford, WA. It was created as a mare soil simulant to develop structural materials and ceramic composites. Apart from a brief description in a NASA technical report, there is not good documentation for this simulant and its status is unknown.
